Alyaa Chace is a Pre-Med major of Integrative Neuroscience at Fordham University and hopes to pursue an MD in Orthopedic Medicine. She has conducted research at the University of Massachusetts Medical School on Rheumatoid Arthritis and at Columbia Presbyterian on Pediatric Neuroblastoma. Alyaa is a Speech and Debate coach at Byram Hills High School in Westchester, NY. Growing up in New York, she attended Islamic Primary School and continued studying and memorizing Quran throughout secondary school with the help of her father and her Arabic tutor. After beginning college, Alyaa saw the importance in educating the youth, the future leaders and representatives of the Muslim community. Through her work with high school students in the national debate circuit and her younger sisters, she understands the importance of establishing and maintaining a strong Islamic foundation at a young age so that young people may embrace their faith through the struggles of adolescence and in modern society. Alyaa hopes to bring forth an innovative and progressive way of learning here at Cordoba so that our students may become well-rounded advocates for Muslims in America and around the world.
