Over two hundred interfaith students and faculty at the University of Michigan came together to form a “circle of protection” around praying Muslim after hearing that one Muslim student had been threatened for her faith. According to the president of the university’s Muslim Student Association, “The amount of support was overwhelming and absolutely wonderful, and it brought some ease to the Muslim students [and] showed that we have other individuals who are willing to stand with us.”
