In Pittsburgh, the Jewish and Muslim communities are uniting to counter hatred against immigrants. This interfaith alliance was first forged after the September 11 attacks and now, in the wake of the shooting on the Tree of Life Congregation in October 2018, their mutual support of one another and of other marginalized groups is more important than ever. As one Pittsburgh Muslim leader noted, despite their differences, religious faith brings them together, saying, “Faith unites us…”
